Despising Age

Despising Age is born in February 2012 in Cadenazzo, south Switzerland, from the ashes of death metal band Telesma by guitarist David Pizzuti and drummer Matteo Martini, both obsessed and strongly inspired by many U.S. death metal bands of ’90s. After a couple of month David’s long-time friend Russell Knobel joined the band as guitarist with everybody’s satisfaction. Summer-Winter 2012: the trio is seeking a singer and a bass player, but the hard search did not find the right ones. Spring 2013 sees the big decision to get Russell soloist and David as second voice. Still missing the bassist. In September 2013, with this line up, the band gives birth to the first record testimony: the proudly self-recorded and self-produced demo named “DEMOnstration of hatred”, printed in 300 copies and including the first 3 tracks composed by them. In November 2013 Despising Age begins the long-awaited live career as trio. March 2014: now with bassist Riccardo Catinella the line-up is finally done. Thanks to many passion and perseverance, the four grows their own notoriety through live dates, band challenges and festival, where they’ll have opportunities to share the stage with names like Kreator, Behemoth, Annihilator, Moonspell, Decapitated, The Modern Age Slavery and many more. September 2014: the band starts the studio recording for a new release titled “A New Dawn of Celestial Suffering”. This EP, recorded, mixed and mastered at HRS Studio in Massagno (CH), contains six new songs written in pure raw old school death metal aggression. The many live shows and challenges to promote the new release continues non-stop until Fall 2015. In March 2016 the band presents the new line up. Recruiting long-time friend Paride Casu on bass guitar and thundering drummer Alessandro Caruso. “We entered the Brainscan Studio on April of this year and we finished on August all the recording for the new EP… Prepare for stunning violence!” March 2017: the band announces the new and long-awaited release. “Path Into Insanity”, the third chapter, includes six new faster, groovy and technical death metal blades. This work was recorded and mixed at Brainscan Studio in Riva S. Vitale (CH) and mastered at Toxic Basement Studio in Milano (IT).
