Avaland, fuori il nuovo video “Kingslayer”

I francesi Avaland, band di power metal sinfonico, condividono il loro prossimo video musicale “Kingslayer” a supporto dell’imminente secondo full-length “The Legend of the Storyteller”, in uscita il 31 marzo 2023 via Rockshots Records dopo il debutto del 2021 “Theater of Sorcery”.

La band commenta: “Questo brano è stato sentito direttamente dalla band come un potenziale singolo. Lucas ha fatto un lavoro incredibile alle chitarre su questa canzone. I riff sono molto intensi e il ritornello è un vero e proprio gancio. E no, non è una canzone su Jamie Lannister! Ma la domanda, qui, è: Dov’è il bene? Dov’è il male?”.

Rispetto all’album di debutto degli Avaland, il prossimo full-length della band, “The Legend Of The Storyteller”, è più pesante ed è un disco power metal molto più epico, pieno di inni su inni che i fan potranno cantare durante il viaggio in dodici tracce teatrali. Il disco vede anche la doppia voce di Adrien G. Gzagg e Jeff Kanji, oltre agli ospiti dell’album che includono Zak Stevens (ex-Savatage/TSO), Madie (ex-Nightmare/Faith In Agony), Pierre “Cara” Carabalona (Eltharia), Ivan Castelli (Lionsoul), Angèle Macabiès, Jens Ludwig (Edguy) e Bruno Ramos (Sortilège/ex-Manigance).

Guidato da Adrien G. Gzagg (Autore/Compositore/Cantante principale/Synths e orchestrazioni), la trama dell’album è un prequel del primo album della band “Theater of Sorcery”, come spiega lui stesso: “Questo album, come il primo, è un viaggio, un viaggio fuori dal nostro mondo, nell’universo di Avaland. Ci piace vedere Avaland come una grande saga, come un film o una serie. Ci sembra che ascoltare Avaland sia come guardare Game Of Thrones, Il Signore degli Anelli o leggere fumetti: è una fuga dalla vita quotidiana. Per questo album ci siamo ispirati molto a Game Of Thrones e ai miti arturiani. Amiamo il fantasy e le mitologie e ci ritroviamo anche ad avere un grande fascino per l’alchimia e l’esoterismo. Anche il tempo è un grande argomento, è mistico… infatti, il tempo sarà al centro di questa saga. Questo nuovo lavoro mostra un’atmosfera più pesante e oscura dell’universo teatrale di Avaland.
