Cronenberg, fuori il nuovo ‘Grandiose Throne Of Glotesque Flesh’

Il gruppo death metal canadese Cronenberg ha pubblicato il suo secondo album ‘Grandiose Throne Of Grotesque Flesh’. L’album è stato scritto e registrato nei mesi invernali, dopo che il frontman Grandmaster Flush è tornato in Canada dopo un lungo soggiorno nel Regno Unito.

“Ho fondato questa band mentre vivevo nel Regno Unito per rendere omaggio al re canadese del body horror, quindi è giusto che sia tornato a casa e che la band possa prendere il suo giusto posto come band death metal canadese” – dice il frontman.

“Grandiose Throne Of Glotesque Flesh” è composto da dieci tracce di macabre chitarre a motosega, bassi sotterranei e voci gorgogliate, grugnite e ringhiate. Viene reso omaggio a band come Dismember ed Entombed, ma anche ai Voivod. Le melodie sono abusate in dissonanze contorte e avvolgenti. I testi ruotano attorno ai film di David Cronenberg, oltre a toccare altri maestri dell’horror come Junji Ito e John Carpenter.
